Case registered against Pawan Kalyan,Telangana Lawyers Association,Pawan Kalyan,AP Reorganisation Act
Telangana Lawyers Assn accuses actor-turned-politician of making provocative remarks which may cause disharmony among the people of Telangana and AP
Hyderabad: A case on Wednesday was registered against actor-turned politician and Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan in Jubilee Hills police station. The case was booked against Pawan Kalyan on the basis of complaint filed by the Telangana Lawyers Association, saying that he had made provocative comments.
The lawyers felt that the actor’s remarks could cause disharmony among the people of Telangana State and Andhra Pradesh. They urged the police to take appropriate action. It may be recalled that the actor-turned-politician, at a press conference here on Monday, sought to take on the TS government, alleging that it had resorted to phone tapping and demanded CBI inquiry into it.
He, however, said there was no need to invoke Section 8 of the AP Reorganisation Act to vest law and order responsibilities in Governor. He also blamed the MPs from Andhra Pradesh for failing in their duty to exert pressure on the Union government for conferring Special Status on the State. He blamed KCR for targeting people from AP.
