Major fire broke out on Sunday night at a plastic materials company godown in Gandhinagar area of Balanagar destroying property worth several lakhs of rupees.

No casualties were reported in the incident where huge flames created panic in the industrial area. Seven fire tenders from different fire stations immediately rushed to the spot and doused down the fire after four hours.
