Anantapur: Telugu actor Neethu Agarwal, who was recently released on bail in a red sanders smuggling case, was allegedly attacked by an RTC driver on Sunday.

The driver Nagaraju had been suspended for transportation of labourers from Tamil Nadu in RTC buses, police said. The actor was returning after signing the register at the Rudramvaram police station when Nagaraju reportedly waylaid her car near Ayyaluru Metta in Sirivella mandal and attacked her for not clearing his bills at Kadapa prison when she was arrested last week. He allegedly supplied several items to her in prison thanks to his nexus with smugglers. Police suspects differences between them due to financial transactions was the reason for the attack.
