Veteran actor and director turned politician Dasari Narayana Rao has said that he regrets for entering politics and that his decision to step in the political shores will end up as a blunder in his life. Last night, the director's birthday celebrations took place in Hyderabad's Ravindra Bharati and Dasari spoke his heart out on this occasion.

During the celebrations, Dasari presented senior actress and director Vijaya Nirmala with a golden bracelet (Swarna Kankanam) and spoke about the recently filed charge sheet featuring his name in the coal gate scam. Dasari said that certain political forces made him a scapegoat to armor a bigwig in the Indian political system.

Expressing his confidence on coming out clean, Dasari said that he will prove his innocence and be acquitted in the case very soon. On the film front, Dasari has the prestigious Powerstar Pawan Kalyan's film in hand and he has been listening to scripts and is on a look out for the right director to helm the project.
