Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party legislators staged a protest against Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for not involving or even consulting them in the 'Swacch Hyderabad' programme.
Apparantly, the chief minister had given the MLAs an appointment for a meeting at the Secretariat, but he did not turn up for the same.
Expressing his anger over this, senior K.BJP leader Laxman said that the chief minister promised that he would discuss with the opposition leaders about various issues troubling the people of the state. However, Laxman said, nothing has been done to solve the problems.
Speaking to media, Laxman said, "Telangana government woke up to prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Swacch Bharath' after nine months and started 'Swacch Hyderabad'. The government's unpopular decisions like relocating Secretariat, Ganesh Nimajjan at Indira Park, Shopping complex in NTR Stadium and slower Hyderabad metro Rail works are not welcome."
