Congress leader and former minister P Shankar Rao on Thursday threw a bomb on the party by asking Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to order a probe into the corrupt practices of all the Congress ministers between 2004 and 2014.

Shankar Rao alleged that some Congress leaders were alone destroying the party in the Telangana State. He said the party was rejected by the people in the last elections because of rampant corruption during 10-year Congress rule from 2004 to 2014.

Speaking to media persons on the Assembly premises on Thursday, Shankar Rao asked the Chief Minister to order a probe into the corrupt practices of all Ministers from 2004 to 2014 in the State. He also criticized TPCC vice-president Shabbir Ali for his remarks against him on Wednesday. He said he was sacked by then Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy in an undemocratic manner without hearing his version.

The former minister said the Congress would have no future in Telangana unless the “corrupt” leaders were suspended from the party.
