TDP Sugunamma wins Tirupati bye poll, Sugunamma wins Tirupati by poll, Sugunamma wins Tirupati bye elction, TDP Sugunamma wins Tirupati by elections, TDP candidate Sugunamma wins by majority of 116524

The Telugu Desam won the Tirupati assembly seat with a record majority of  1,16,524 votes. While the TDP lost deposit with just a lowest score of  9628 votes.

Total votes pooled in Tirupati were 1,47,216 of which TDP bagged 1,26, 162 and the loser Congress got merely 9628 votes. The Lok satta got 3619 and an Independent got 3156 and invalid votes were 2152.

The first crucial  bye elections in the divided AP had established the popular vote of the TDP once again. The main opponent of YSRC was not in fray and even the Congress had announced withdrawal at the last minute.

Although  the victory of the TDP was a foregone conclusion, its margin has  reinforced the public confidence in the party to  rebuilt the state fortunes in the aftermath of the bifurcation.
