Addressing the media here on Sunday, Etela said that the people were extremely satisfied with the performance of the TRS government. He said the landslide victory of TRS in the recently held GHMC elections and other by-elections has proved that the TRS government has been meeting the expectations of common people. He hoped that the TRS would win majority of seats in the forthcoming municipal elections and make history.
DCMS chief joins TRS
Meanwhile, the Congress in Karimnagar suffered another blow as District Cooperative Marketing Society (DCMS) chairman Muduganti Surender Reddy, along with some directors, sarpanches of Choppadandi constituency, former sarpanches, MPTC members, former MPTC members and several Congress leaders joined the TRS. They joined the TRS in the presence of Etela Rajender and Choppadandi MLA Bodiga Shobha at the R&B Guest House here on Sunday.
DCMS director Rajeshwar Rao was among those who joined the TRS. On the occasion, Surender Reddy said that he joined the TRS as he was impressed by the welfare programmes taken up by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. He said he joined the TRS to strengthen the cooperative system.
Already, Karimnagar District Cooperative Central Bank Limited chairman K Ravinder Rao, who was elected TSCAB chairman, had quit the Congress and joined TRS. With Surender Reddy also joining the TRS, both cooperative posts slipped away from the Congress.
