Vijayawada and Narasapuram have been selected to be developed as Solar Cities, said Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Speaking with reporters at Eluru, Nirmala said that government is taking necessary steps to control the prices of pulses, onion and other essential commodities. It may be noted that Nirmala Sitharaman is wife of Parakala Prabhakar, Communications Advisor to Government of Andhra Pradesh. Centre would provide funds for the development of solar energy in the selected cities.
