Vijayawada: Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said that representatives from 12 countries would attend the Amaravati capital foundation ceremony on October 22. Speaking to mediapersons after offering prayers at Kanaka Durga temple here on Sunday, the minister said that representatives from several countries, including Japan and Singapore will attend the capital foundation. He said arrangements have been made at Vijayawada airport to receive the foreign dignitaries.
As devotees’ rush increased in the recent times, the government is planning to improve the facilities at the temple, Yanamala said. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu also visited the temple recently and asked the officials to improve facilities at the temple.
Deputy Chief Minister N Chinarajappa, who offered prayers at Kanaka Durga temple on Sunday, said 11000 policemen would be deployed for the capital foundation bandobust.
