After failing to embarrass its defectors during the No-Confidence Motion against the TDP government, the YCP has come out with a new strategy. Taking advantage of the necessary voting on the Finance Bill, the YCP has issued a whip, requiring members to come to the House and voting against the Bill.
The TDP government, which gave no time to the YCP to issue a whip last time by immediately holding a discussion on the no-trust move, is also expected to rally round the YCP defectors it had admitted.
The YCP defectors cannot do anything other than what the whip directs them to do. Meanwhile, reports said even the YCP deputy leader, Jyothula Nehru, is also stated to be joining the ruling party. He was miffed by party leader, Jaganmohan Reddy, who nominated the Kurnool MLA for the position of Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee.
