Hyderabad: The culture of beef festival appears to be spreading its wings from Telangana universities to universities in Andhra Pradesh.
Dalit students of Acharya Nagarjuna University are proposing to organise a beef festival on their campus.
Reacting to this proposal, several Hindu organisations including the Hindu Dharma Samrakshana Samanyava Samiti (HDSSS) is believed to have told the ANU officials not to permit beef festival on the university's campus.
However, the National Dalit Students Federation (NDSF) extended its support to today's planned beef festival at Osmania University.
