AICC general secretary and in-charge of Telangana, Digvijay Singh urged union home minister Rajnath Singh to intervene and see that action adequate security was provide to Shabbir, MLC, who received threatening calls from an anonymous caller.
Writing a letter to Rajnath Singh, the AICC general secretary also forwarded the copy of the complaint Shabbir Ali made to the station house officer, Jubille Hills Police Station, Hyderabad. Informing that, the opposition leader in the Telangana Legislative Council received a call from 040-69542335 and the caller hurled a threat that he would be killed if Shabbir continued his criticism against chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. ” Although Mr Shabbir Ali has complained to the Telangana police but we are not sure whether any action would be taken by the local police,” Digvijay expressed doubts in the letter.
He said he would be grateful if the union home minister would could get the facts from government of Telangana and provide adequate security to Shabbir Ali.
