Hyderabad High Court dismissed the case filed by CBI against India Cements Ltd MD N Srinivasan in connection with YS Jagan's disproportionate assets case.
In its charge sheet, CBI accused N Srinivasan of involvement in criminal conspiracy to receive undue benefits as part of the quid-pro-quo deals during late YS Rajasekhar Reddy's tenure as CM. The Investigation Agency alleged N Srinivasan invested Rs 140 crore in YS Jagan's companies such as Jagathi Publications, Bharati Cements and Carmel Asia.
Justice Siva Shankar Rao ruled that CBI failed to prove N Srinivasan entered into a criminal conspiracy and quashed the case.
N Srinivasan is the former BCCI President and the owner of IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings.
