Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Monday gave nod for the release of Rs 100 for the welfare of lawyers and Rs 10 crore towards Telangana Journalist Welfare Fund.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to deposit the amounts into the accounts of departments concerned and utilise the same for the welfare of lawyers and journalists. He asked Law secretary Santhosh Reddy to prepare modalities to utilise the amount in consultation with the lawyers' associations.
The Chief Minister also announced the formation of a committee led by Information & Public Relations Department Commissioner RV Chandravadan to deal with the issue of Accreditation and Health Cards for the journalists in the State.
