YS Jagan,Jagan Bengaluru visit, disproportionate assets case

It is known that YSR Congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy has sought permission from the special CBI Court to visit Bengaluru to spend few days with the family of his Sister Sharmila.

CBI filed a counter petition seeking rejection of Jagan's appeal. It conveyed to court that A1 accused in the disproportionate assets case is trying to delay the trial by moving to Bengaluru. CBI also appealed Court not to extend the permission granted to A2 Vijay Sai Reddy to tour Southern States.

Meanwhile, Jagan appealed Court to grant more time to express the views in the cases filed by Enforcement Directorate. However, The Court turned down the appeal and offered time till July 7th for Jagan's counsel to file any petition.

Vedavyas, a native of Vijayawada, filed a PIL in High Court seeking speedy trail in cases related to serious crimes (including Jagan's assets case & cases against MPs/MLAs). Accepting the PIL, Chief Justice directed CBI to submit a status report to the high court and posted the next hearing to July 6th.
