Law & Order in Hyderabad to remain under Telangana: DGP

On implementation of Section 8 of A.P. Reorganisation Act, the DGP reiterated that Hyderabad is part of Telangana and the State will have control. The control over law and order in State capital - Hyderabad, will be with the Telangana Government, said Director General of Police Anurag Sharma.

Responding to a query on demand for implementation of Section 8 of A.P. Reorganisation Act, he reiterated that Hyderabad was part of Telangana and the law and order would be in the hands of State Government. Refusing to elaborate on Cash for Vote controversy, the DGP said that it was being dealt by ACB DG and everything would be carried out as per legal procedures.

Mr. Anurag Sharma was in Warangal district to inspect sites for the proposed new Rural SP office complex and new TSSP Battalion that would be set up soon. He arrived at the police headquarters and commissioned a fleet of new vehicles for the newly set up Warangal Police Commissionerate.

The DGP proceeded to Mamnoor TSSP battalion and then to Chinthagattu – the Replica Rolex Day Date two locations being considered for setting up the Rural SP office complex as the present set up would be accommodating the new police commissionerate office.

Mr. Sharma later visited Bhupalpalli area to inspect a site for the proposed new TSSP battalion. Of the three new TSSP battalions sanctioned by the State Government, one would be set up in Warangal District.

He said the new commissioner's office would have three DCPs and more personnel would be added in the due course. It was given new armed intercepting vehicles. “An amount of Rs. 5.5 crore is sanctioned for new building of Warangal Police Commissioner. The State Government was requested to give more funds for the purpose,” he said.

The Warangal Police Commissionerate was third in Telangana State after Hyderabad and Cyberabad. It would be developed with cheap cartier replica watches state-of-the-art technology, vehicles and more personnel.

On giving weekly off to the police personnel, the DGP said that there were 18,000 vacancies in the police department. The notification for recruitment would be issued in two months and when there was full strength, personnel would be given more facilities including a weekly off.
