The government of AP is busy with pooling land for the construction of the new capital city in the proposed area. For this purpose, a special team from Singapore is also arriving Andhra Pradesh to discuss several aspects of the construction of new capital city.The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) revealed that the team from Singapore is likely to visit the region from February 2 to 4. A master plan will be prepared during their visit.

The Singapore team and the local officials will mainly discuss different aspects including structuring of the authority and frame guidelines besides evolving an action plan for implementation of the programmes. The CRDA commissioner Srikant Nagulapalli said that efforts were underway to complete the preparation of the master plan by June-end before calling for objections, if any, from the stakeholders. “Many people are voluntarily handing over the lands for capital construction and the consent given by the people is irrevocable. After giving consent, land pooling ownership certificate will be issued to the people within nine months, The 24 villages notified under the capital region would continue to exist and roads and other structures constructed synchronising with them." said Srikant Nagulapalli.
