Rajahmundry: Minister for Municipal Administration P Narayana directed the officials to complete Godavari Pushkaram works June-end. He suggested that the officials work at micro level to make Pushkarams a great success. He conducted a review meeting with the www.ittrg.co.uk officials of various departments, including police, transport, RTC, railways, endowments and municipal administration at R&B guesthouse here on Monday. He also visited bathing ghats and parking places in the city.

Taking part in the review meeting, APSRTC officials explained that the department was planning to run 2,800 bus trips per day and about two lakh pilgrims are expected to reach Rajahmundry everyday during Pushkarams. They added that 180 buses per hour and three buses per minute would enter the city.

Rajahmundry Urban SP S Harikrishna said that 140 parking places had been www.ltfl.co.uk identified in the city for vehicles, including RTC buses, private buses, four-wheelers and two-wheelers and free city bus services would be provided from parking places to bathing ghats. Railway officials told the Minister that they would run 13 additional passenger trains in addition to nine trains during Pushkarams and added that additional coaches would be added to existing 29 expresses.  

They added that exit ways would be extended in railway stations.Principle secretary, endowments, Anuradha, said that 68,000 square feet of platforms to conduct Pindapradhanam would be built in East Godavari and 45,000 sq ft platforms would be built in West Godavari district.
