YSRCP legislator in AP Assembly, Roja on Tuesday has approached the Supreme Court once again in connection with her one-year suspension after the division bench of the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad ruling over her suspension. Roja's petition challenging the stay by the HC division bench has been taken up by the SC. While the legislator's counsel explained to the honourable Chief Justice about the need for her to represent the concerns of the people in her constituency as she is the elected people's representative, the Apex Court stated that the case would be taken up on Friday.
In her appeal, Roja argued that the Privileges Committee of the AP Assembly had not issued her a notice for the meeting. Speaking on her petition, the YSRCP MLA said that the AP government is trying to stop her from raising women's issues.
