Hyderabad: YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has decided to shift his base to Guntur and work for strengthening of the party in Andhra Pradesh with a sole aim of coming to power in 2019 elections.
According to party insiders, Jagan has asked party senior leader Botcha Satyanarayana to scout for a suitable place in Guntur area to set up the office. Till now, Jagan has been operating from his Lotus Pond house here.
The party feels that since Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been focusing full time attention on the state and has been working from Vijayawada which has made it easy for him to visit various districts regularly,
Hence the leader of Opposition also feels that being the main Opposition party he too should be closer to the people and work from the state.
