Warangal: Two persons were killed and 14 others were injured in a road accident that took place at Gavicherla crossroad in Sangem mandal in the district on Wednesday. The incident occurred when two auto rickshaws coming in opposite direction collided with each other. The 14 passengers travelling in both the auto rickshaws suffered severe injuries and were shifted to MGM Hospital for treatment.
One of the deceased was identified as S Veeraiah (40) of Lohita village in Sangem mandal and 15-year-old boy was yet to be identified. RDO Venkata Madhava Rao and Sangem Tahsildar T Vijayalaxmi visited hospital. Mamnoor Circle Inspector Srinivas visited the spot and registered a case in connection with the incident.
