Hyderabad: Tamil film actress and producer Hemalatha on Friday complained to police against her co-actor Ilayaraja stating that he deserted her after marrying her last year.
Speaking to reporters here, the actress who owns a production company said that she belongs to Pedda Naagaaram in Warangal and she moved to Chennai as she got no films in Tollywood in 2011.
"I met Raja in January 2014 when I was doing films under my production," she said. They developed a relationship and lived together for two years before marrying in 2015 at her home, she added.
When Raja's family objected to their marriage, he wanted to dump her and even forced her to get aborted, she said.
Ilayaraja fixed his marriage with another girl and left her on September 3, 2015, she added. Hemalatha lodged a complaint against Ilayaraja at Madhuravayil Station in Tamilnadu. As he is politically influential, the officials are not taking any action against him, she said and urged the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Cheif Ministers to do justice to her.
