Denduluru's TDP MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar is at it again. After attacking woman MRO Vanajakshi over sand quarrying, the controversial MLA has attacked a constable on Wednesday evening. He and his henchmen want to the constable's house in Dendulu, thrashed him, confined him to a room, abused in unprintable language, dragged him out and kicked him.
Shockingly, local SI MV Subhash and Tehsildar Naseeruddin Shah too were present at the time of attack. But, they remained mute spectators. A shocked constable, identified as Madhu, gathered his wits and tried to immolate self. He was dissuaded by the police. He later complained to the West Godavari SP and got admitted to the Eluru Government Hospital.
The MLA, however, denied that he had attacked Madhu. In fact, it is Madhu, who abused me when I tried to mediate a dispute over throughfare. Madhu, who is currently under suspension in another case, said that the MLA was tryng to interfere in a dispute involving him and his neighbours.
