Hyderabad: In a rare honour, residents of a Bethampudi village in capital city region in Andhra Pradesh have decided to name their village as 'Pawan Kalyan Nagar', reports said.
Farmers of the village are said to have been impressed with the support extended to them by popular Telugu actor and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan.
Pawan Kalyan had recently visited the villages in capital region and had even urged the state government not to invoke the Land Acquisition Act to collect land from the hapless farmers for the construction of the capital city.
