Hyderabad: Popular Telangana lyricist and singer Bhikshapati passed away at his native Bayyaram in Khammam district late last night, according to reports.
Sources said Bhikshapati had been ailing for some time.
Bhikshapati was popular for his song, 'Nennu vidhichi vundalenammo, paatammao...'. The song was written, composed and sung by him during the Telanagana movement.
The singer had taken part in several agitations and gave a number of programmes, alongside Gaddar and Jayaraj.
