Previously, Congress MLA Patolla Kista Reddy was the chairman of PAC. After his death, the post was occupied by Ramreddy Venkat Reddy who was also a senior leader from Congress. But the position fell vacant again after Venkat Reddy passed away on March 4, 2016 due to illness.
It is learnt that ex-Minister Gadwal MLA DK Aruna is also showing interest in the post. It will be interesting to see whom the Speaker Madhusudana Chary will appoint as the chairman of PAC.
