Kakinada: A delegation of the Government of Andhra Pradesh held talks with Kapu Movement leader Mudragada Padmanabham. The talks are reported to be success.
AP government representatives Achem Naidu, Thota Trimurthulu, Kala Venkat rao, Boddu Bhaskara Rao had discussions with Mudragada for about one and a half hour. Mudragada after negotiations, agreed to undergo medical tests.The doctors went to the residence of Mudragada and conducted medical tests.
Strike called off
As the talks with the government is successful, Mudragada called off his four-day hunger strike. Minister Atchem Naidu, Kala venkat Rao gave him the lemon juice and call off the strike.
TDP committed to a sustainable solution: Achem Naidu
Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Achem Naidu said that the talks with Mudragada Padmanabham was successful.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is positive towards the problems of Kapus. Many governments in the past have used Kapus as vote banks, but did nothing for their upliftment. TDP Government and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu are committed to a sustainable solution , said Atchem Naidu.
Atchem Naidu spoke to the media after having discussion with Mudragada Padmanabham.
The government has set up a kapu commission in the interest of doing justice to the kapus, said Achem Naidu.The funds are released to the Commission to help those who are economically backward and poor. Tuni riots caused pain to everyone.
Some of the anti-social elements are involved in Tuni incident , in the pursuit of Kapu community. The Government takes strict action on those responsibe for the incident after an investgation. The Government will do justice to the innocent, said Minister Atchem naidu.
Hunger strike for the development of Kapus: Mudragada
The Hunger strike is being carried out by him for the development of Kapu community, said Mudragada Padmanabham .We are demanding to fulfil the promises given Chandrababu Naidu in the general election.
We mainly demand reservation to the poor and economically backward Kapus. We are demanding reservations to the kapus without altering the reservation of the BCs, said Mudaragada.
The kapu leader sought forgiveness from the Chief Minister for criticizing him on various occassions. The criticism are out of agaony, but not with hatred, added Mudragada.
He thanked the political leaders of various political parties for extending their support to the hunger strike.
"I hope that the Government will abide by the promises given to the Kapu community. We are confident through dialogue", sadi the Kapu leader.
The government stated that Commission will be granted Rs 500 crore in the Budget 2016 and it would be increased to Rs. 1000 cr in the next Budget, said Mudragada.
"We asked the Government to reconsider the cases on those cases are filed, for which the Government was positive. I humbly request the Government , not to make the incident repeat. I will wash the feet of CM Chandrababu , the moment the reservation to kapus becomes real", said Mudragada.
