In a shocking incident, three children were injured in a blast on Friday in their classroom in a school in Bangalore when they inserted a detonator inside a power socket.

The incident occurred at the Sri Sadhguru Sai Baba school when class 4 students identified as Surya, Kiran and Shiva, connected a detonator to a power socket in their class room, causing panic among the teachers. The students were rushed to a hospital, where they received treatment for minor injuries.

The police have confirmed that no other explosive was found on the spot and the blast was caused by the detonator. Taking no chances, the police deployed bomb squad and sniffer dogs to sanitise the school.

The police believe the students found the detonators in the garbage dump outside school.  Investigation is on.
