Signaling a major step towards distribution of all employees by the new academic year, from February 21, the first round of allocation of State-level employees between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh by the Kamalnathan Committee will begin.

Beginning with seven departments where the employees in the State cadre posts have already given their choice indicating the State of their choice, the provisional allocation list is to be released on Saturday.

The list pertains to wings under Agriculture and Cooperation, Industries and Commerce Department, Minorities Welfare and Higher Education, Law, Information Technology and Communications.

The Secretaries of Head of Departments and State Reorganization Cells of both the States along with Mr. Kamalnathan will examine the lists to rule out any lapses. Departments with small number of State cadre employees are chosen in the first phase to test the software and stabilize it. Later, the software will be run with hundreds of employees for the bigger departments.

Employees will be given two weeks time to file appeals, if any, after the provisional list is uploaded. Barring the pending appeals, after two weeks, rest of the allocation list will be notified and officially, employees can move to their respective allocated States. Based on the objections received, the Seniority list and the cadre strength has been revised by the Kamalnathan Committee in about 60 departments.
