Sri Bandaru Dattatraya, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Labour & Employment, Govt of India reviewed Railway projects and development works along with MMTS Phase II, Road Over Bridges, & Road Under Bridges, Peddapally – Karimnagar – Nizamabad project in particular with Sri P.K.Srivatsava, General Manager, South Central Railway on Monday 11th May, 2015 at Hyderabad. Smt Nirmala, Hyderabad District Collector, Sri Jagadishwar Reddy M.D. Hyderabad Metro Water Supply & Sewerage Board and Sri Chintala Ramchandra Reddy MLA along with officials of various departments participated in the Review Meeting.
In the review meeting, it was discussed that in MMTS Phase-II there are two important issues, otherwise work is progressing well in Charlapally – Ghatkesar and Bollarum – Medchal stretches. First issue is a land dispute with defence authorities in Sanathnagar – Ammuguda line involving 4 K.M.s stretch. Hon’ble Minister assured that he will take up this issue with Defence authorities and resolve it. Second issue is extending Falaknuma – Umdanagar line to Airport for which GMR is not agreeing.
Hon’ble Minister assured that he will takeup this issue with Civil Aviation, Urban Development and Home Ministries along with GMR Management and sort out the issue. With the resolution of the issues the project is likely to be completed by June – December 2017.
It is also reviewed that Peddapally – Karimnagar – Nizamabad project work is progressing well and likely to be completed by March, 2016 and commissioning will be done in next 6 months time. Additional funds of Rs. 50 Crores are required to complete the project and Railway Minister will be requested for the same.
New ROBs & RUBs at various busy locations was also discussed. For the RUB works where no level crossing gates are available, GHMC has to propose the works or deposit terms. In case of ROB at Kandikalgate (LC 6) and RUB work at Uppuguda (LC No. 5), Railway authorities have agreed to temporarily stop the work and speak to locals.
Hyderabad Metro Water Supply & Sewerage Board M.D. requested Railways to resolve the issue of Godavari Water Pipe Line crossing at Mettuguda Railway Colony and Railways have agreed to workout this issue. He also requested for Moosi River cleaning project under Amruth Scheme of Ministry of Urban Development and Hon’ble.
Minister agreed to take up the issue with Ministry of Urban Development, Govt of India.
Sri Bandaru Dattatraya, Hon’ble Minister, Sri P.K.Srivatsava GM South Central Railway, Sri Chintala Ramchandra MLA along with Railway Officials later inspected the Railway Site & under underpassing at Khairtabad Railway Station which has been tried to occupy by anti social elements.
