PIL filed in High Court against RTC bus strike
Requesting the High Court in Hyderabad to intervene in stopping the indefinite strike launched by the employees of APSRTC, two persons from Andhra Pradesh filed public interest litigations (PILs) in the HC today.
One of the PILs was filed by Telugu Desam Party leader Venkat Rao and the other was filed by Mohammad Ghouse of Chittoor district.
The two petitioners contended that the RTC strike is four days old and is putting lakhs of common people into lot of inconvenience. Therefore, the petitioners wanted the High Court in Hyderabad to intervene in the issue.
They appealed to the HC to issue directions to the agitating RTC employees to immediately withdraw their strike.
