Champions League Twenty20 (CLT), a multi-national T20 tourney, is likely to be scrapped by the BCCI after three cricket boards which were part of league decided to discontinue the years long association.
IPL Governing Council is expected to meet on July 8th before announcing the termination of Champions League Twenty20 (CLT). The members will also be discussing an alternative to Champions League Twenty20, something on the lines of mini-IPL and baby-IPL.
In mini-IPL, Four top teams of IPL in that particular edition will be eligible to play. It would have six league matches and a final.
In baby-IPL, All IPL Teams (8) gets divided into 4 Groups. It would have Thirteen League Matches, Two Semis and a Final.
Based on the recommendations of IPL Governing Council, BCCI Working Committee will decide if choosing at least one among mini-IPL or baby-IPL makes any sense.
