Pattipati Pulla Rao, the Agriculture Minister of Andhra Pradesh, presented the first agriculture budget in the state assembly, on Friday. Simultaneously, the agriculture budget was introduced in the state council by Minister Acham Naidu. Special agriculture budget is unique of its kind and the Andhra Pradesh state government has inspired from Karnataka state, reportedly.
The following are the allocations to various departments and schemes in the agriculture budget:
Total Budget – Rs.14,184 crores
Unplanned Costing – Rs. 9670.78 Crores
Planned Costing – Rs.4513.45 CroresAllottments- Water Resources Conservation : Rs 30 crores
- Incentives to Vegetable farmers: Rs. 58.25 crores
- Rs. 20 allotted for crops for development of Infrastructure
- Rs. 672 crores allotted for Animal Husbandry
- Agriculture national Mission: Rs. 168 crores
- Drip Irrigation: 144 crores
- Horticulture Development: Rs. 100 crores
- HDVDS Scheme : Rs. 294.74
- Rs. 60 crores allotted for MARKFED
- Rs.141.63 crores allotted for Modernisation of agriculture
- Rs. 1.46 crores allotted for Polam badi scheme
- Crop loan Waiver (II Phase): Rs. 5000 crores
- Rs.28 crores allotted for development of Palmoil gardens
- Supply of seeds: Rs. 80 crores
- Rs. 5 crores allotted for animal housing
- Rs. 5 crores allotted for Farmer empowerment
- Rs. 93 crores allotted for the silk industry
- Rs. 73 crores allotted for increasing Livestock population
