Delhi: New Delhi: Union Railway Minister Suresh prabhu introduced rail budget 2016 in the Lok Sabha on Thursday. Speaking on this occasion, he stated that the Hyderabad suburban network will be expanded with the participation of the Telangana government. The allocations to the Telangana state in the Union Budget are as follows
* Rs 80 crore for Secunderabad-Mahbubnagar doubling works
* Rs 70 crore for Peddapalli-Nizamabad line
* Rs 90 crore for Munirabad -Mahbubnagar line
* Rs 20 crore for Macherla-Nalgonda railway line
* Rs 15 crore for Raghavapuram- Mandamarri line
* Rs .114 crore for Kazipet-Vijayawada third line
* Rs 5 crore for the construction of ROB between Kazipet-Warangal
* Rs 5 crore for the construction of the subway between Peddapalli-jagityala
Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya met Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu reccently. Dattatreya discussed about the pending railway projects in the state of Telangana.
Minister Bandaru Dattatreya put forth the following proposals before the Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu
Extension of MMTS services from Ghatkesar to Yadadri, Completing the Medak- Akkannapeta project in partnership with Centre and the State Governments, setting up a new railway line between Mirjapalli-Medak, setting up a third Railway line between Secunderabad-Kazipet, Running a super fast train between Secunderabad-Bangalore.
Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu reacted positive to the requests of the Minister Dattatreya. Hopefully the above said projects will be sanctioned to Telangana in the Railway Budget 201-17.
