Railway Budget Allocations to AP

New Delhi: Union Railway Minister Suresh prabhu introduced rail budget 2016 in the Lok Sabha on Thursday. The Railway Budget 2016 would disappoint the AP Public as there were no new trains introduced for the newly formed state.

Setting up of Visakhapatnam Railway zone, which is promised in the AP reorganisation Act, is also not mentioned in the Budget.

New Railway lines connecting the AP capital city Amaravathi also were not announced in the Rail Budget 2016.

Rs. 200 crore for Kotipalli- Narsapuram line and Rs. 50 crore for Pithapuram- Kakinada line were sanctioned to AP.

Railway Minister in his Budget speech stated that the Tirupathi Railway station will be developed.

Chandrababu Naidu had earlier met the Minister and requested him to take steps for the development of the Railway stations in the areas of the Spiritual centres. But nothing of the sort are mentioned in the Budget.

The request of the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to extend the Nadikude-Bibinagar Railway line also was not santioned in the Budget.

The people of Rayalaseema region has no Rail connectivity to reach Amaravathi. The proposal to santion a railway line from Rayalaseema to Amaravathi also was not considered by the centre.

Railway Budget Allocations to Telangana

Union Railway Minister Suresh prabhu introduced rail budget 2016 in the Lok Sabha on Thursday. Speaking on this occasion, he stated that the Hyderabad suburban network will be expanded with the participation of the Telangana government. The allocations to the Telangana state in the Union Budget are as follows

* Rs 80 crore  for Secunderabad-Mahbubnagar doubling works
* Rs 70 crore for Peddapalli-Nizamabad line
* Rs 90 crore for Munirabad -Mahbubnagar line
* Rs 20 crore for Macherla-Nalgonda railway line
* Rs 15 crore for Raghavapuram- Mandamarri line
* Rs .114 crore  for Kazipet-Vijayawada third line
* Rs 5 crore for the construction of ROB between Kazipet-Warangal
* Rs 5 crore for the construction of the subway between Peddapalli-jagityala
