Telangana TDP Working President Revanth Reddy took on Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s powerpoint presentation on irrigation projects in Telangana Assembly. Stating that the PPT was was full of lies, Revanth Reddy particularly flayed the Chief Minister's statement of providing of water for one crore acres.
Citing the CAG's report where KCR government was advised to spend Rs 6,500 crore for completion of 22 irrigation projects in order to provide water for another 30 lakh acres, the TDP MLA reminded that the existing projects are providing water for 48 lakh acres for irrigation purpose.
While Revanth Reddy called KCR one of the best politicians in Telugu states as he has experience in politics for more than 35 years and led the movement for separate Telangana State for 14 years, he however, said that redesigning of irrigation projects is something TDP is against as it will force the state into debt.
