Famous Lord Laxminarsimha Swamy's cave temple at Yadagiri Gutta will be closed for nine months for pilgrims in the view of renovation works.The decision was announced by Yadadri Executive Officer N.Geetha.
The decision was taken at board meeting after consultations with Chinna Jeeyar Swamy according to the traditions of Agama Shastras and from April 21 st the temple remains closed.
However officials have arranged a makeshift hall for darshan where the idols of the residing deity will be consecrated by Chinna Jeeyar Swamy and kept for darshan till the cave temple works are completed. Pilgrims and devotees would be allowed to offer their prayers at the Balala Alayam
"We regret the inconvenience to pilgrims for not being able to have darshan of Tribhuvan Swamy or the three idols inside the cave.The closure of the temple is for nine months for the renovation of the temple. The main temple will be opened for devotees as soon as the renovation is completed," Said temple authorities
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is contemplating to develop the temple with lines of Tirupati and he sanctioned Rs. 100 crore for the development of the temple.
