In his reply to a question raised by Congress MLA Ch Vamshichand Reddy during the Question Hour in the Legislative Assembly, the Chief Minister gave district-wise break-up of applications received and sanctioned under the ‘Shaadi Mubarak’ scheme.

As against 5,015 applications received under the scheme as on March 5 this year, a total of 3,086 applications have been sanctioned. They include 377 (out of 605) from Adilabad, 655 (1369) from Hyderabad, 247 (355) from Karimnagar, 124 (172) from Khammam, 197 (419) from Mahabubnagar, 232 (401) from Medak, 166 (266) from Nalgonda, 393 (587) from Nizamabad, 520 (612) from Ranga Reddy and 175 out of 229 applications from Warangal district.  The Chief Minister denied that the applications and sanction of financial assistance was delayed due to lack of cooperation between the officials of Minority, Treasury and Revenue departments.
