Hyderabad: Startling facts came to light in the Telangana Legislative Assembly today when Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy confessed that N Chandrababu Naidu, the chief minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh beat him when he objected to privatization of Nizam Sugar factory.
Speaking on revival of Nizam Sugars in the Assembly, Srinivas Reddy said Naidu lost patience and hit him when he took objection to disinvestment of Nizam Sugars. He can’t forget the incident as he knows the importance of the sugar factory.
Reacting to the minister’s confession, the senior Congress leader Jeevan Reddy said Pocharam should have quit the Cabinet when he was humiliated by the chief minister.
Making fun of Srinivas Reddy, TDP leader Revanth Reddy asked him when he would reveal thrashings by Telangana Chief Minister KCR. He wondered why it took long for the minister to reveal the facts to the public.
Srinivas Reddy appealed to Revanth Reddy not trivialize the issue as Naidu he had apologized to him.
