Payakaraopeta TDP MLA Anitha has filed a defamation suit against YCP leader Roja on the ground that the former actress had caused her untold misery by making unseemly comments about her.
Anitha filed the defamation suit for Rs.1 crore. Notices in this regard have already been sent to Roja.
Talking to newsmen on Wednesday, Anitha regretted that even while Roja was addressing her in an abusive language, YCP leader Jaganmohan Reddy did not dissuade his party leader.
Anitha said if it was proved that she had wronged Roja, she was prepared to ask for forgiveness. The same goes for Roja. Would Roja apologise to her if it's proved she had erred in singling Anitha out?
The TDP leader pointed out that when she had tried to shield Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu from Roja's barrage, Roja had made certain comments which could not be uttered again, let alone their unparliamentary nature.
