High Court bans labour work from 12 noon to 3 PM in AP and TS

High Court has ordered that laborers should not be allowed to work from 12 noon to 3 p.m., during summer. It directed both the Telugu state governments to bar labor works during these timings due to the extreme heat. It quoted the example of Odisha government, where the number of deaths due to heat stroke had come down because of such steps. Action should be taken against those who extract labor work during these timings, it said. The orders will be effective till July this year.
