The mercury touched 36.4 degree Celsius on Thursday in Hyderabad, making it the highest September temperature in 88 years.
It is the highest September temperature in Hyderabad during the last 88 years was recorded on September 15 on 1927 when temperature touched 36.1degree Celsius.
According to scientists, the temperature shot up due to absence of clouds in sky. The temperature has gone up as the sun rays penetrating the earth surface directly.
Though the temperatures in this month are lower when compared to summer season, high humidity is creating problems to the people.
Meanwhile, Indian Meteorological Department predicted that the temperatures may drop after two days.
