5 terrorists killed in warangal encounter, Jangoan-aler encounter in telangana kills 5 terrorists
Telangana police on Tuesday shot dead five terror suspects in Jangaon in Warangal district after they tried to breakaway and escape from the police squadron.
According to intelligence officials, the encounter took place while the five terror suspects were being taken to Nampally court in Hyderabad from the Warangal jail.
Police have identified the suspected terrorists who were killed as Viqaruddin, Syed Amjad, Haneef, Zakeer and Irfan. All of them happen to be members of the dreaded terrorist outfit Tehreek Ghalaba E Islam.
A top intelligence official was quoted as saying, "They tried to overpower the escort police and tried to snatch away the weapons. In retaliation cops opened fire and they were all killed."
Viqaruddin Ahmed and his gang of terrorists were involved in the killing of a police constable in Hyderabad. According to intelligence sources, the terror gang were reported to have plotted to attack Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Two of the terrorists, Viqaruddin and Amjad, were also involved in the attacks on policemen at Falaknuma in 2009 and Shahalibanda. In 2007, they were reported to have shot dead a constable in Gujarat while they were looting a bank.
