Senior director K Raghavendra Rao has been nominated as an executive member in the prestigious Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam Board. The Andhra Pradesh government has official passed the orders in this regard and the 15 member committee will serve the TTD under its new chairman, Chadalawada Krishnamurthi.

K Raghavendra Rao has been a loyal supporter of TDP and maintains close ties with the party's chief and AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu. The legendary director even acted as the Andhra Pradesh government's Electronic Media Chairman during Chandrababu's reign until his tenure that ended in 2004.

Since more than a decade, the director who is highly regarded as one of the most successful commercial directors in the history of Tollywood, took to spiritual route and made several hit spiritual films like Annamayya, Sri Manjunatha, Sri Ramadau, Shirdi Saibaba etc.
