'Intolerant non-state actor' controlling Modi govt: Rahul's apparent dig at RSS

New Delhi: Apparently targeting the RSS, Rahul Gandhi Friday dubbed it as an "intolerant non-state actor" "controlling" the Narendra Modi government and said the Prime Minister cannot see it.

"Modiji can see intolerant non-state actors controlling large territories evrywhr-but not the intolerant non-state actor ctrling him&hisGovt!", the Congress Vice President said in a tweet without naming RSS.

Rahul's post on the microblogging site came soon after the Prime Minister had a meeting with the RSS top brass here today.

"Intolerant non-state actors now control large territories where they are unleashing barbaric violence on innocent people... The severe limitations in our conflict resolution mechanisms are becoming more and more obvious....," the Prime Minister had said yesterday addressing a conference here.

Gandhi's attack came close on the heels of Congress spokesman Shaktisinh Gohil giving RSS the nickname of "Rashtraki Supreme Sarkar" in the wake of an array of Union Ministers and the Prime Minister meeting the Sangh top brass.

"The way Union Ministers & PM is lining upto meet RSS people, The real meaning of RSS - Rashtriya Ki Supreme Sarkar" (Supreme Government of the nation), Gohil remarked at the AICC briefing.

Unrelenting in its attack on the government on the issue, Gohil took a dig at the Prime Minister he said that "before going to Bhagwat Ki Pathshala, Prime Minister should have attended Rashtrapati's Pathshala".

He said that had the Prime Minister attended the President of India's Pathshala, he would have known what Congress did in 60 years.

Hitting out at the government over the OROP issue, Gohil said while former armymen are sitting on hunger strike, the Prime Minister does not have time to listen to them "but wants to go and listen to RSS".

Gohil, who hails from Gujarat, was scathing in his criticism of the state government in the wake of the agitation by the Patidars led by Hardik Patel.

"Gujarat is the laboratory for RSS/BJP experiments, where Gujaratis are treated as guinea pigs", he said alleging that Gujarat violence was started by the state government itself.

Besides, he said, RSS talks of migration to cities but maximum migration to cities from villages have taken place in Gujarat.
