Several Brahmin organisations have hailed the Telangana State government for allocating Rs 100 crore in the Budget for the welfare of Brahmin community. In a joint press release on Tuesday, managing trustee of the Dhanwanthari Foundation International (DFI) P Kamalakara Sarma and secretary V S Rao conveyed their gratitude to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for allocating Rs 100 crore for the welfare of Brahmins.
“The Chief Minister is committed to the uplift of the community, which has been looked down upon by various sections of society since decades,” they said. Leaders of other Brahmin organisations too hailed the Rs 100-crore budgetary allocation made by the State government for the Brahmin Welfare Corporation. By allocating Rs 100 crore, Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao once again proved that he was committed to the welfare of the community, they said. Some Brahmin organisations celebrated the occasion.
