Hyderabad: The cash-for-vote scam, in which a TDP MLA was allegedly involved, rocked the Monsoon session of Andhra Pradesh Assembly today.
YSRCP demanded the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to issue a statement on the scam. The party has moved an adjournment motion for debate on cash-for-vote, but the Speaker disallowed it.
The Speaker clarified that the issue was pending in the court and, therefore, would not be allowed for discussion.
At this stage, Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy and Atchennaidu commented that Jagan was involved in several cases and he has no moral right to speak about Chandrababu Naidu and corruption.
As the members continued protests, Speaker adjourned the house sine die at 1: 15 pm. The Assembly passed nine Bills in this session.
