Recently AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi made some controverisla remarks and said he will not chant 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' even if a knife is put to his throat..On Tuesday some students burnt an effigy of Owaisi in the city, and offered the reward. "The statement of Owaisi is not only anti-India but shows that he is not at all a patriot," Tomar said.
Tomar also demanded that Owaisi be stripped of his Lok Sabha membership. A public interest litigation has been filed in Lucknow on Tuesday over Owaisi's statement.
Owaisi made the remarks as a riposte to Mohan Bhagwat, the chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) rejecting his suggestion for infusing patriotism on youth. Owaisi said: "Mohan Bhagwat ji.. I will not chant that slogan. What will you do? I won't say it even if you put a knife to my throat."
