Police are taking strict measures to avoid untoward incidents in the view of hunger strike of Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham. Mudragada has already announced that he along with his wife are going to sit for a hunger strike from tomorrow and announced deadline as Thursday evening for AP government decision on Kapu reservations.
Police have deployed additional forces in Kirlampudi, the native village of the Kapu agitator. District Superintendent of Police Raviprakash addressed media and has announced that no outsiders would be allowed into the district on Friday.
Also, 10,000 police personnel will be on duty and total of 58 check-posts have been setup at all the entry points into the district. Four rapid action force platoons have also been deployed.
Though an arrest is the next step, police are still apprehensive of the consequences of his arrest and hence are taking back step.
